New decorating techniques over the last few years have opened up endless possibilities in cake decorating. Now a cake can be and artistic sculpture or look like a real item. This allows the decorator to do more things that men like for their birthdays or groom's cakes. The old fashioned butter cream cakes tend to have a feminine look the to them no matter what you put on them. The fondant cakes have a clean smooth look and can be molded into just about anything you like. We make everything from scratch, even our fondant. We also bake everything to order so it is as fresh as possible. We put a lot of work into the look of our cakes and we want it to taste as great as it looks. Call to day for a cake tasting and consultation. 864-201-4448

Fashion and jewelry birthday cakes

Art Eats Bakery, Greenville, SC
http://www.arteatsbakery.com/ This year Birthday cakes with fashion accessories have been very popular. We have done a lot with sugar sculpture shoes, handbags, rings and necklaces. Our edible pearls and huge sugar bows and ribbon curls have also been a big hit. A group of girlfriends have been giving each other a cake of this type for their birthdays. Although they have been similar, they have all been unique to suit each individual. Art Eats Bakery prides themselves on creating one of a kind designs. This way each cake was made special for each person.
As the outside of cakes have changed, so have the inside. Gone are the dry white sponge cakes of the past. Now people are choosing what they really love to eat. It could be chocolate fudge with caramel and butterfinger candy bars or Amaretto with Kaluha butter cream. Each tier can be a different flavor with any filling you can dream of. At Art Eats Bakery we make all of our cakes and icings from scratch and we only use the very best fresh ingredients. Even our fondant is scratch made and tastes great. It can be made in lots of flavors. Our cakes are all butter cakes and our butter cream is also made with fresh butter. Art Eats Bakery, Greenville, SC http://www.arteatsbakery.com/ sales@arteats.com

Rum and wine bottle cakes by Art Eats Bakery

Art Eats Bakery
Each day seems to have a common theme in the cakes we a making. This Saturday it was alcohol. We made a Captain Morgan's rum bottle Groom's cake. The cake is a sculpted butter rum cake with butter rum icing. The top is and outer layer is fondant and the label are sugar sheets. We even did a cast of the emblem and made it out of fondant.
We also made a wine bottle 60th birthday cake. The base cake is made to look like a wine crate and it has fondant straw in it. The label and top are painted with an edible gold paint.
We also had a Kaluha and cream cake and an amaretto cake.

Scene on 7 Art Eats Bakery cool jobs cake

Art Eats Bakery, Greenville, SC

Jamarcus Gaston , reporter with WSPA channel 7, did a story on Art Eats Bakery for his Cool Jobs series. The Show aired on August 4, 2009 (my 50th birthday,The link is above.) I was not well prepared for the shoot because we had a very busy week the week before and even had cakes on Sunday. I hope we did OK.
The way we do cake is an art and a really cool job and we did a Topsy turvy or mad hatter style cake that shows our cool jobs skills.
Art Eats Bakery creates wedding, Groom's, birthday and all event cakes from scratch with real butter and great flavor. You may be surprised at how the cake looks like art, but the real surprise is the taste.
