Birthday cake trends for 2009 and 2010

Art Eats Bakery, Greenville, SC http://www.arteatsbakery.com/ 864-201-4448

Birthday cakes are becoming more elaborate both for adults and kids. They can range from sophisticated to hilarious. The new cake styles are more of an art form than in the past. Gooey blobs of icings just aren't the thing for today's clients. You can have a cake that really makes a statement about your personality or a hobby.

Cakes with fondant icing have a smooth finished look and can it can also be sculpted. Unfortunately most bakeries don't make their cakes, butter creams or fondant from scratch and you just don't get a great tasting cake. the fondant is particularly bad out of a bucket. We make all of our cakes and icings from scratch. We use real butter, fresh eggs and other wholesome ingredients. We don't believe in spending our time or your money on a cake that is not moist and delicious. You can schedule a cake tasting and consultation at our bakery and you will be amazed at how great the cakes taste.

please order as far in advance as possible. We only bake to order and some of our cakes require that decorations be made ahead to harden. Some of our dates get filled where we can not add any orders. We have cakes booked more than a year away, but still have openings. Call for a cake tasting and consultation 864-201-4448

Pink and black three tier animal print birthday cake

Art Eats Bakery, Greenville, SC 29607
http://www.arteatsbakery.com/ The top tier is zebra stipes, the middle is pink leopard skin and the bottom is black and grey stripes. Each tier has crystals on silver wires and the topper is fondant initials. This three tier birthday cake was designed by twin girls that were turning 12. They are big fans of the Food Network cake shows. Their uncle won a gift certificate that I donated to the Humane society and he gave it to them for the cake. It was so much fun to see how enthusiastic they were about cake design. they live in NC and are moving back here soon. I would love to have them in our apprintice program when they get a little older.
